It's a bit of a disappointment when my favourite demos are from the bands about whom I know the least, and REBEL ARMY are certainly one of my favourites. Here are five mid tempo plodding UK punk numbers that would have fit very nicely alongside THE MOB, BLYTHE POWER, LACK OF KNOWLEDGE and the like, from a band who appeared on third
Bullshit Detector compilation and then appears to have faded into obscurity. The keyboards are sparse, but their use on "Insane" is absolutely brilliant, and shows how great this band might have become had they kept writing and recording (maybe they did? anyone got any hidden gems?). This is about to be the best 20 minutes of your day.
