It doesn't get much better than this for early 80's hardcore. They were the only Japanese hardcore punk band in the early 80's with an American singer, atleast that I know of, that pressed an album and was on a Pushead compilation. Corruption Of Peace is, for us here at PNP, a one in a million type record.

With Tadafumi Yamagami (guitar), Tatsuya Goto (bass), Tatsuya Murata (drums) and a one American Kevin Crow to hold down the lead vocals, they create a cacophony of ritualistic American rooted hardcore starting in the sounds of early Washington D.C. all the way cross-country to the sounds of early Portland and Seattle styled punk, interbreeding with the sounds of early classic Japanese hardcore.

This incredible band never got paid their dues, likely due to the band being from Japan and not having many albums pressed and even less here in the states. The band would fall into obscurity for many, but for the some like myself that had the pleasure of growing up with this album, makes putting this album on the blog a memorable moment, like trading tapes back in the 80's as a kid.

Released in 1984 through Tokyo Punks Club Records, this is an elite piece of hardcore history that I don't think anyone would want to miss.

File Under: A must have for any hardcore fan.
